it has been a very busy weekend and week
with lots going on......
so, here is a catch up of all the other happenings that have been
happening between all the other happenings that have been posted.......
ben, margo and sebastian went to
concert at
the most beautiful outdoor concert amphitheatre.
and it is just down the road......
lucky us!
they enjoyed the concert under very rainy skies.
often when gabi and sidney are over at sidney's house,
they dress up as various characters and knock on the door.
one never quite knows whom you will find......babysitters, tutors.
this past monday, i believe they were
portia and meghan
- looking for financial support to fly to the show "britian's got talent"...........you two crack me up!
it was great to have grandpa here for the weekend.
when he isn't reading,
he is the world's best card game player.......takes it quite seriously.
evacuation!!
the boulder/denver area has been experiencing
incredible thunderstorms and heavy rains for a week.
this is very unusual for us and has wrecked havoc around town.
last evening, sirens and loud speakers
warned all the residents of our little valley
to evacuate...
there was a severe flash flood warning and we were ordered to head for higher ground.
so here we are with our neighbors at the top of the hill close to paul's office.
it was actually quite exciting.
this is what i grabbed.......
my computer, camera, dog and leash,
the salad i made for dinner and my family.
(not necessarily in that order)
each one of the kids grabbed a car and headed up to the parking lot.
it all ended up being fine in our valley and we headed home after about an hour,
but a canyon not too far north had a 12 foot wall of water that stormed down the canyon.
yikes!
