and support ben in his efforts.

it was so wonderful to have my dad in town too.
he was a scout master for years and has attended many an eagle scout project.
he loved being able to be here to support his grandson.

5. the second layer of timbers are put in place.

6. and nailed down.

fellow troop members
sebastian, mason and patrick were all over this project!
you guys were great.

hammering in more nails - the guys loved this part of the project.

ben had organized for the planter's mix to be delivered on site.

7. the volunteers loaded wheelbarrows and filled the raised bed to the brim.

- hard work because the morning was really starting to heat up.

almost done, ben.
you have done an amazing job organizing everything!

8. more soil and more shoveling.

9. cleaning up the edges and relaying the sod.

sweet kendall came to help out as well, supporting her man!

10. final touches and raking the soil.

3 hours later......

and the job is complete!
again, thanks to everyone for helping out.
we couldn't have done it without your time and willingness.

with grateful hearts,
ben and the meyer family

now the residents have plans to plant pumpkins and other vegetables for years to come.
