piano man

my maryland friend stephanie flies home tonight,
so "the girls" got together one more time.
liz, diane, stephanie and i met at the classic
avenue grill
in downtown denver.

i had never been there before and i loved this place.
it was beautifully decorated for christmas.

the carved wooden banisters were topped with pine clusters and lights...

oversized vases filled with crimson poinsettas.....

crisp, white linens on the tables
and windows crowned with green garlands and red, velvet bows.

have a safe trip home, stephanie and
thanks for making this a very special christmas, girls!

16th street mall

after my family dropped me off to meet my friends for lunch,
they headed to denver's 16th street outside mall to walk around and
take in the sights.  they found pianos placed along the mall every block or so.
ben decided to take advantage of the situation and have some fun.........

then people started gathering around to join him.........
(sorry, it was filmed sideways)

tonight is raclette night!
we gathered a bunch of the kids' friends, fired up the raclettes
and ate and chatted and laughed until we were bursting at the seams.

then it was games, games, games into the wee hours of the morning!

good night, margo.
