fun easter

whoa, what a fun easter!!

let's start with margo......

but then she is always having fun!

last week, gabi and i decided that this year we wanted 

live easter baskets.

so we sowed some grass seeds, set them in the window and 

after only a couple of days, our baskets were lined with lush and lovely grass.

we placed them around the house and then added some more 

easter touches.

we were invited to alisa's house for easter sunday dinner.

so, on easter eve we started getting ready for the big day.  gabi made 

bright and happy cupcakes 

for everyone to enjoy.

i made our traditional hummingbird cake.

just the other day, i discovered a small patch of violets in our yard.

i made them into candied-violets to decorate the cake.

easter eve was also spent dying eggs.

the boys invited friends over.  they had never dyed eggs before 

and had so much fun.

what bright and beautiful eggs!

easter morning!

paul brought us fresh hot cross buns!  

mmmmmmm, reminds us of easters in sydney.

candy laden easter baskets and an easter egg hunt!

off to church.  

then, we headed to alisa's for a

gorgeous easter spread!

with a spring green theme.
