clothes on the line

i believe my neighbor thinks i'm crazy, the one that can see my washing line.
she's told me before that i should get a new dryer because mine always seems to be broken.
when i responded saying that i actually prefer to hang my clothes out on the line,
she kind of shrugged her shoulders and walked off.
so today, she gave me a very wide berth as i hung out the wash with bare hands in our below freezing temperatures, icy wind and snow flurries.
but i don't mind, because tonight i'll be sleeping under the freshest sheets in the neighborhood!

unfortunately, i don't think most americans really get it, the hanging clothes on the line thing.
it has a poverty stigma attached to it here which we can't quite seem to get over, even here in green boulder.
i feel very appreciative of my
opportunities to live overseas where i picked up this delightful, beggary habit
and so many more.

try it, you'll like it too!

margo and i played wedding yesterday!
we made an appointment at a bridal gown store, had so much fun
and yes, i cried.
although she didn't end up saying yes to a dress, i know whatever gown she
chooses, margo will make a stunning bride.

wedding to do list.....
so far we can check off:

wedding date
wedding venue
reception venue
bridal party acceptance

and the list goes on.....

p.s.  i think i've finally got the blog comments option up and running again!
