easter sunday

what a lovely easter sunday we enjoyed as a family.

after the traditional easter egg hunt, we went to church together

and then shared a special easter sunday lunch with friends.

on the menu

breaded cob fillets

honey baked ham

scalloped potatoes

glazed carrots

asparagus tips

fresh corn

leafy, green salad with pears, nuts and bleu cheese crumbles

and for dessert 

i made our easter favorite......hummingbird cake

 this year, i topped the cake with flowery pineapple slices

not only are they beautiful, they taste delicious as well!

we spent the evening playing board games

and taking a hike in this gorgeous weather.

today is april fool's day

and is in full swing at our house......

we've already had the rubber snake under the piano key cover trick.......gotcha, sebastian.

and i was just doused by the rubber band over the kitchen sink sprayer trick!
