the baby robins have hatched!
we've become very protective of this little feathered family of five.
they've been through a lot.
on two occasions, we have had to scare off a VERY large bull snake
with evil intentions, slithering up the pine tree next to the nest.
we worked together with the worried bird parents to
fight off this intruder. sorry long guy, you'll just have to find dinner
somewhere else this week.
on a lighter, brighter note.......
over the past few days, we've had blooming rainbows and lilacs and poppies galore!
