raclette night

raclette night at our house means a fun for all ages party night.
we all ask friends over and we eat, melt, laugh, season, chat, grill and eat some more.
these raclette sessions can last a full night. it's the best!

we have fun things going on down in colorado springs today.
gabi's middle school choir was asked to come perform at cmea, the colorado music educator's conference.  they were the only middle school choir invited in the whole state!  they are good!  gabi has some solos to perform.  also, the byu track team has a track meet at the u.s. air force academy in the springs this weekend.  i hope gabi and ben run into each other today somehow, someway!

recovery update:  thank you for asking.  i am doing ok.  i'm still feeling very cloudy, mixed with a mind/body disconnect.  i feel like the familiar janet is standing very close to me but uncommitted.
although there are a few times a day that she's here and i'm all clicked in.  here's to more of those moments and those moments turning into hours.
happy things: i am driving again, slowly, carefully, on familiar routes.  i have been to my kickboxing class twice (talk about mustering up courage.)  this is where i feel most familiar with myself - just letting my body take over with my mind following, i take naps and sleep like a baby, i've had three 1 1/2 hour massages (so nice),  i have kind and generous friends, i have an extremely patient husband and my kids are stars and when they aren't here my loyal dog makes sure she is by my side for comfort and protection.
