calving time at the ranch

the problem bloggers have with blogs that have been around for a number of years is repetition.

i am feeling this once again today. each february i have posted about the calving event at our friend's ranch down the road.  as february arrives it is tradition, as we drive past, to begin the new calf search.  it is also a marking of the winter season finale. it's such a treat for us!  so here it is again, the 2014 calving post.  but really, who can get enough of these new, adorable, milk-mustached, sprightly little bundles!

the new calves born last week during the particularly cold, cold weather were given down vests to wear as they frolicked around the ranch.  adorable!
