Thanksgiving Day

thanksgiving day.
filled with family, friends, football and too much food.  paul's sister tessa and her family arrived wednesday and so our guest list was complete.  let the holiday begin......

as per tradition, thanksgiving morning the uncles and cousins headed off to
the annual turkey bowl......
it was a wonderful morning for me too.  during the game, i had a long facetime chat with nicole and then i couldn't stop taking photos.  it was too beautiful to see my boys on the field again.

once they arrived home, serious dinner preparations began...

grandma created the beautiful centerpiece for the table.  thanks mom.

ummm, well..........some of us got to work.

paul was the master chef and had one turkey roasting in the oven, another turkey barbecuing next to a rubbed beef brisket and a honey baked ham!  whoa!!

the menu

it was delicious and sharing a thanksgiving meal together with family was the highlight of this day of gratefulness.  we feel blessed.

as the adults retired to a comfortable couch and a movie, the cousins played board games through the evening.
