a week and a half ago, ben took off from utah on a 2,000 mile solo motorcycle trip through the southwest.
he's been excitedly crafting this adventure for weeks.
being the detailed, spreadsheet, precise, organized planner/packer and nice guy i know him to be, he will visit, explore, camp, document, hike, sleep, play, make friends and have enough gas, food and shelter to successfully and thoroughly enjoy this memories-for-a-lifetime experience.
his preparedness talents also help his mom to chill through all of this.
ben's been wonderful about keeping in touch and using his i-phone and go pro, has visually shared the beautiful places he's been, almost daily. his plan was to focus on heading to these national parks, monuments and other geographical points of interest:
arches
canyonlands
mesa verde
petrified forest
natural bridges
hovenweep
navajo
canyon de chelly
four corners
goosenecks state park
valley of the gods
monument valley
here are more photos he has shared.....
this was my happy mother's day rainbow photo from ben.
he is in arizona today..........waiting at a lottery for the chance to go to the wave.
my bold and determined son, continue to be safe as you make your dreams come true.
I am loving Ben's trip! The Mother's day photo with the rainbow looks just like the Karoo. Hope the rain has lessened in your part of the world?
