cache la poudre river

i celebrated my birthday this week and what a full-on, fun week it has been!

our dear friends, the o'neill family, have been visiting from geneva, switzerland

and so it has been one.....big.....party.....all week.

this morning, we woke early, early and headed up to fort collins for a white water rafting

 adventure along the cache la poudre river.

a successful pass on a class 4 rapid deserves a paddle high five!

our families divided between two rafts creating just a bit of competition!

i have to admit, i was a bit nervous going into this first time rafting adventure but

as soon as we got going, i became a white water rafting fan for a life!!
