fairview's musical is in full swing and it is over-the-top fabulous!
this year, it is the production of guys and dolls.
the cast and crew have been rehearsing and working hard since early september and it is very exciting for performance week to have finally arrived.
gabi auditioned and gained a place in the production again this year and i have been helping with costuming. oooh, the vintage clothing wardrobe! great fun!
set in 1930's new york city, the story is packed full of: save-a-soul missionaries...
and towns people (gabi)
small time gamblers...
mis-matched couples...
hot box nightclub dancers...
a trip to havana,
including a night club brawl scene...
(gabi as a cuban prostitute character)
a crap game...
sinners showing up at the mission...
and a happily ever after wedding.
