Christmas is too sparkly, said no one ever.

what a magical, wonderful, joyous time of year. i just can't get enough. it makes me want to bottle it up to scatter throughout the rest of the eleven months. people try harder to make everyone's holiday season happier, here at home and out there too. thank you humankind, it makes a difference.
even though it is finals week for gabi, she's enhanced it with sparkling performances and special projects with friends - that's the trick, gabi!
it is also finals week for sebastian and i mean final, finals week, like this is it. sebastian has graduated from byu successfully completing his b.a. in journalism!!!! way to go sab, really, wearesoproudofyou!!! there are exciting graduation celebrations in the works when he walks and receives his diploma in april!
sebastian is home now for the holidays, leaving directly after his final final and it is so nice to have him here sharing his music, his kind, gentle demeanor and time helping me with tasks like digging out the very last of our year's garden bounty, spring onions that have been waiting patiently tucked underground until they were needed. the rest of the kids trickle in through the end of the week.....yes! except ben and kensey, they are staying in prague, still settling in, loving the christmas markets, hosting cookie decorating parties at their flat with new friends and actually heading to venice for the holidays (whoa!). they will be very, very missed amongst our family's holiday goings on here. if you would like to keep up with their adventures in the czech republic and beyond, kensey has a blog benandkensey.com they invite you to follow.

as we slide into the end of this last week before christmas, i wish you hours of contentment with time to spare for those whom you love and for those who need a bit of extra attention and support, little gifts that feel big, warm animals curled at your feet, wood burning fireplaces, loving whispers visible in the cold air and prayers for peace lifted into the dark night.
may peace be with you and may peace reign on our earth.

merry christmas from me, paul and all of our family.
