the national tour of the broadway musical HAMILTON has arrived at the buell theatre in denver and sebastian, gabi, paul and i got to see it!! an a-m-a-z-i-n-g experience intensified by the fact that our talented friend josh rivera is in the cast. josh, one of ben and sebastian's good friends from fairview, has been a pleasure and joy to watch performing on and off stage all through high school, onto college and now as a professional, shining and sharing his incredible talents on the world stage. we could hardly take it all in.
josh is a lead understudy and performed the characters john laurens and philip hamilton on this night. josh was on stage throughout the show. what a treat! this musical is........incredible. it is different and has such unique qualities and depth keeping you engaged and attentive so as not to miss a gesture, an expression, an exchange, a rap rhyme. not only are the leads acting, singing and magnificently portraying the characters but the dancers support the telling of the story by keeping the show in constant, smooth motion. gabi and i were entranced. go if you can, you won't want to miss it.
we were also invited to join josh backstage and on stage after the show. what magic. thank you josh, it was a night of a lifetime!
