follow me as i lead you through my continued adventures along the cobbled streets of prague with ben and kensey as our all-knowing guides. my photos along the path are taken of whatever or whomever catches my eye. i don't usually have a plan but follow my heart hoping to capture on camera all that strikes a chord within me and want to share. prague is a city that enlivens all of the senses, therefore i took alot of photos. we will walk and take the tram to big and beautiful ancient landmarks but along the way we will also stop and enjoy the small and simple inconsequential everyday happenings in this awe inspiring city.
let's go......to lennon's wall, lover's bridge, hike up to the blossoming park with a view, visit old town square, new town and its dancing house, new world street which was one of my favorite spots in the whole city because it is so very charming and storybooklike that i could quietly picture myself and paul living right there, happily ever after, truly (its the photo with ben standing in a doorway), wenceslas square with all of its incredible and remarkable history (think velvet revolution), prague castle, st. vitus cathedral, strohav monastery, old royal palace and letna park. try czech street food like a warm, sweet trdelnik. join me and kensey on a rainy, cloudy prague day as we, in our raincoats, slowly stroll through an empty-except-for-us city park coming upon a nesting swan, we'll stop for a late lunch at a trendy, quiet cafe and talk for hours sipping tea and eating quiche then end the day at the art museum. we will hike up paths and make our way down steep, narrow stairways, one so tight there's only room for one person managed by a pedestrian traffic light. come with us one night to the movies just down the street from ben and kensey's apartment where we will see battle of the sexes in english with czech subtitles munching czech candy and sipping czech sodas. sit down with us as we enjoy beautiful brunches morning after morning in luxurious restaurants ordering decadent spreads including a delicious oatmeal i will never forget. come with us to the markets and be tempted by a basket tower of fresh berries for lunch. we will again pass through old town square and be surprised by an entertaining bubble blower. finally, we will end this treasured, lifetime destination experience crossing over the vltava river one last time across the magnificent charles bridge, one of the most popular destinations in the city, stopping here, stopping there, taking in the views scattered with magestic architecture, learning of the bridge's statues, its history, its legends (some weird, even dark - king rudolf II was edgy) but most of all feeling its magic, all very much the essence of prague.
ah! miss it already mama
