sebastian is heading off to school on the dawn of this snowy day.

yep, the snow and cold have arrived.  here we go again.......

i love the snow.  i look forward to winter and the opportunity to put the garden 

to bed for awhile, make savory soups and snuggle up with a good book 

or someone who's read one :)

paul, well.....not so much.

he doesn't like the sun setting at 5:00pm.  he's a summer kind of guy,

"if it were summer, we'd just be loading up the boat and heading for the lake!"  

i know, i know.  

gabi looks like a snow bunny but summer is definitely her favorite too.

gabi and i spotted this beautiful bird nestled in the falling snow.

it does make me sad to see the birds struggling to find food when it snows.
"hey beautiful, just fly over our house and you'll find snacks waiting for you!"

i love feeding our birds and squirrels.  i claim to have the fattest, 

jolliest squirrels in the neighborhood.
