utah friends and family

before we were so pleasantly interrupted by ben and kensey's
exciting engagement announcement, i was planning on following our payson lakes, utah post with another collection of photos from our recent trip to utah.
this post features moments with some of our favorite utah people.......
our friends and family!

we surprised sebastian's lovable and adorable girlfriend maddie at work when we showed up for lunch at one of provo's hotspots, j dawgs
sebastian, i wish you could have made the trip with us, i know this made you jealous.

one superb, utah summer morning, chris, jacqui and george kindly invited margo, gabi, paul and i to their gorgeous cape dutch home for a full english breakfast, giving us the opportunity to reconnect and catch up with these lifelong friends. paul grew up with george and his wife louise's children, including jacqui, in south africa. when paul first arrived in the u.s. from cape town at the tender age of 17, george, louise and their children, who had recently relocated to utah, were the only people paul knew in the entire country. needless to say, their love and support was invaluable and so appreciated by paul as he found his feet in this new land. our entire family loves them now too.

we were also able to spend time with paul's sister gillian who was visiting from cape town. bonus!

we were anxious to see margo again and quickly met up with her for lunch in salt lake city the first day.
these two sisters were so happy to be together again.

paul's sister alex, her husband tadd and their boys also joined us.

auntie alex with her nieces, alex is too fun!

we met another very special person this trip,
atlas lee adams.
atlas is the newest member of the meyer family born to paul's niece julia and her husband chase.
atlas not only made paul's sister tessa a grandmother, but he is the first great grandchild in the family!

congratulations great grandma and grandpa!!

our last day, laura invited e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e over for an always over the top, delicious, abundant, traditional, meyer sunday lunch. thank you, lau.
gabi will be staying in utah for a camp followed by a two week ballet intensive program at b.y.u.
we will miss you, gabi but have the time of your life!

goodbye all, we love you.
