5. we had to say a final goodbye to the happiest bird in the world. he's old and i knew he was sick as he'd been acting strange for a few days. he decided how he would go.......hop out of the cage, hop across the floor, hop across roxy, hop out the back door, hop by paul on the deck and fly away.......we miss him, a truly extraordinary bird

p.s. gabi is healing well from her tonsillectomy and was even game for a last minute trip to utah to be with family for thanksgiving. it certainly wasn't a traditional thanksgiving celebration but we enjoyed just being together with loved ones. i took a few photos with my phone while we were there, at a jazz game.............
