paul's 60th birthday party!

hello all! it's been a while... it's been nearly seven months... hope you are doing ok out there, truly. it has been a stretch, a long ask for everyone, everywhere. keep safe, keep healthy. keep going, keep keeping on. you are doing so well. we are all in this together and over here, we are laying low and hanging in there with you.

we did have a big happening happening yesterday as paul reached the ripe old age of sixty.

whoop, whoop!

i have loved watching how people have been creatively celebrating birthdays and noteworthy occasions throughout the pandemic this year. people are resilient and can reach, reach, reach when the challenge calls for it. it is heartwarming and it is inspiring to see.

👆
yesterday, paul headed up to work (greeted by a welcoming subtle surprise from the guys in the office) but before he left, i had him promise to come home for a celebratory birthday lunch we could share together, he did. but, what he didn't know was that he would be joining the whole family for lunch via a zoom family meeting at 12:30 sharp with ben and kensey in prague (they were eating dinner), nicole and brandon in los angeles and margo, andrew, sebastian, maddi and gabi joining in from utah.
it was amazing!

then, and what blew him away was that our children and their partners had also all joined in to create a loving, socially-distanced tribute gift to him on this big occasion of his, something he could watch over and over and over until we can all be together once again, entitled...........

60 things

happy birthday, dad

what a lovely birthday he will treasure
through the next decade........

happy birthday, my love
