around lunchtime, ben showed up at the house with a bunch of sebastian's friends.....
christina, wanted to surprise sebastian with a creative invitation to the winter ball...
so, she made letter signs and they all hung them up from the front door, down the hall, up the stairs
and into his room....
w i n t e r b a l l ?
when sebastian got home this evening, he said, "what's all this?" and followed
the letters from the front door, down the hall, up the stairs and........
there in his room found christina (who had come back later), waiting for his answer......
"sure, thanks!"
it was "ugly sweater day" at fairview.
whoa, i should have taken a shot of ben's ugly sweater. actually, i should have shot ben's ugly sweater, it was that ugly! christina wore ugly sweater tights instead - they were also plenty ugly!
sebastian was handed this letter at school...............
pretty fun to be nominated for winter ball royalty!!
i think you are going to have a great time, buddy!!
rick is back!!
yahoo! rick, our construction guy extraordinaire, is back
and putting the finishing touches on the band room.

where i can store all of my golden days nursery school supplies!
thanks, rick - we've missed having you around here lately.
invitation for gabi?...
i guess there was quite a tragedy this week in mr. kellogg's class. the mesa elementary fifth grade classes
are doing a science unit on reptiles and studying lizards. apparently, stephen (kellogg) the cricket was
eaten as a snack by one of the lizards and students are in mourning........tragic.
banana nut muffins.......
not sure this is going to sound appetizing after the preceding item but i made the most delicious muffins today and i wanted to invite you to make our following favorite banana bread recipe........
the best you've ever tasted!
banana nut bread
or muffins...
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 bananas, mashed
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Add the bananas, eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift the
baking soda, salt and flour together. Stir it into the banana mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Add the nuts and mix well.
Pour the batter into greased and floured tins. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour and fifteen minutes. Let the bread cool in the pans for ten minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack.
Makes 2 loaves or 24 muffins
