we're here!
after a very long day of traveling, we arrived in kaua'i in the dark of night.
we had a good night's sleep and then gabi and sebastian woke up early to see what they could see.....
gabi spied a monk seal, just off our beach!!

the beach house is so comfortable and just perfect......
we all settled in for a beautiful week. it didn't take long for sab
to hook up with friends at home!!

kaua'i has these crazy feral chickens - everywhere!!!!
these chickens have the run of the island.......they crow all day long!!!
our beach is strewn with coconuts. when it is high tide, they bob over the surf.
we're all dying to open one..............
we spent the morning snorkeling right from our beach.....
we saw
clown fish, parrot fish, sea slugs, stonefish...
amazing!!!!!!
these boulder dudes are loving it all!!
then the kids made a beach hut from treasures off the beach......
now, we're getting into it!!!
I am so glad to have these photos as a permanent

the house.
Those twisted tree trunks forming an entrance to the beach will forever stay in my mind. I could see them from by bedroom window.
