good morning.
we do not know if our beach house has a name, so we decided to name it........
porches
with sweeping balconies across the front and back and views which make you linger longer,
this name suits our beach house perfectly.
aloha from porches....
tree tunnel
many, many years ago.....
a wealthy plantation owner, after landscaping his property, had 500 leftover eucalyptus trees
which he decided to donate and plant along kauai's main road. today, the trees have grown to gargantuan heights and create an expansive, magical tree tunnel.
grandma and grandpa are here now!
grandma is a huge fan of hawaii. but this is her first time on the island of kaua'i.
did you know...
the hawaiian language uses all 5 vowels and only 7 consonants?
w k m n l p h
and each word ends in a vowel.
we have decided that brennecke beach in poipu is our favorite wave jumping, body surfing and
boogie boarding beach...
it is magical!
we swam with sea turtles, under a rainbow
i love all the flowers.......
hibiscus, pepper flower, bougainvillea and
margo, a frangipani just for you!
grandpa too cannot resist trying to open a coconut.
he even got some help from a local pup who knew exactly what he was doing!
success!
