gpa's to do list

as i guessed,

grandpa (a.k.a. mr fixit),  has been busy around the garden, house and garage....

so far, his to do list has included.....

1. mount weather vane - check

grandpa gerry brought us a beautiful and very thoughtful gift -

a gorgeous copper weather vane - it will take about three years for it to gain 

it's delightful verdigris patina...

 he planned on perching it on the top of the entrance archway as

we have many a gray heron pass over our property on their way to the stream.

2. permanently mount clematis trellis - check

3. build a wooden staircase to the garage loft - check

4. unclog and put paul's bathroom sink back together - check

and the piece de resistance.......

i found these gorgeous bullet shaped wire birdcages 

to put our finches in.  they were too crowded

altogether in their little cage. 

gerry hung them for me.

5. make finches happy - check

gabrielle had an orchestra concert tonight....

they performed at fairview high school's auditorium.

we loved the performances pieces - well done, sweetie!
