jr./sr. prom

it is saturday morning, let's make fresh blueberry muffins,

mmmmmmmmm!

miss roxanne velvet is such a lady,

she always crosses her legs.

paul was up before dawn - 

he just couldn't wait to get those trees planted 

 we brought home last week.  george, the landscaper came to help as well.

by dusk, they finally had them all planted.

well done, guys.  everything looks amazing!!

you should sleep well tonight.

prom.....

the fairview jr./sr. prom was saturday night.

ben's group of  32 friends all met together and took photos,

then they boarded the party bus and headed off to dinner.

then on to the ballroom on the university of colorado campus.

but it doesn't end there......

starting at 11:00 p.m. it is the prom after party.

a number of years ago, the community got together to create a fun and safe

place for the high schoolers to get together after prom.

it is held at a local rec. center and follows a casino theme with

games, prizes etc. etc.

everyone loves it so everyone goes.

ben made it home by 3:00 a.m.!!

ben asked his friend emma to prom.  

 he wrote her a song accompanied by caleb and josh

he mixed the "ask emma to prom song" in with some other gull beat songs on a cd

so she was very surprised when she started listening and realized what he had done.

she answered, yes!!

american high school studs.......

ben has been friends with kevin (far left) and mac (to the right of ben) since elementary school.

ben with some of his other great friends.  megan, on the right, is his "cousin"

(my sister's husband's sister's daughter)

they have a tradition of always taking a photo together at proms and homecomings....

i'm glad you had a great time ben,

and you are now home safe and sound.

4 out of 5 are home!!

i love it so much.

while he is here, he'll be fixing things, building things, making beautiful sandwiches on beautiful bread

 and we'll all have a grand old time!
