rain

hooray!  

it is raining.  our downspouts can hardly remember what to do it's been so long.

it is the consistent, soaking rain that we've needed so badly.

our well has run dry twice this week - scary!

this lovely rain will fix things.

my roses arrived in the post today.

two, new dawn, climbing rose plants to clamber up our entry archway.

i gently unpacked the tiny twins, gave them a refreshing drink and set them on a chair for a little pep talk.

"ok you two, no pressure but i expect big, beautiful things from you."

something like this.

we've just arrived home from the first night of

fairview's spring concert.

sebastian sang, accompanied on the piano......

and even performed a solo for a filler act.

well done, sab.  it was fantastic!

margo got to participate as well when all the choir alumni were invited on stage for a reminiscing song.

then it was ben's turn.  he accompanied a soloist on the piano and

sang in the jr./sr. choir

the last piece was a goodbye song as the seniors are graduating next week.

these choirs become quite a community of friends after four years together.

another fantastic musical evening.

and the best is that we get to go again tomorrow for the second half!!

p.s.

i was asked by my friend why i don't include more pictures of me in the blog.

here are my reasons excuses:

1. i am holding the camera 99.9%  of the time.

2. i don't really see what i am doing through the day. i like to watch what my kids are doing, so that's   what you get to see too.

3. but the main reason is.......when i see photos of myself now, i don't see eyes, ears, a nose and a mouth,

i just see wrinkles!  not so fun.
