our friends, the voorhies family stayed with us for a few days.
so we took advantage of this rare time together to do a lot of playing.
one day we spent sightseeing around boulder,
taking them to our favorite spots.
these two are a crack up!
these two are just so so so happy to be together again.
first, we headed off to the farmer's market to check out what was up.
aren't these onions gorgeous?!
(i could take colorful vegetable photos all day long, but everyone else just kept on walking, so i had to keep up!)
next, we stepped into the
you can have lunch, dinner, morning or afternoon tea inside this gorgeous and unique building
or eat outside under the grapevines.
this beautiful restaurant is a gift to boulder
from our sister city in tajikistan.
back to the farmer's market and all the fun.
we kept on walking and headed to pearl street.
the kids cooled off in the spurting fountains.
on a sunny, summer day the street musicians, jugglers and entertainers
are on every block.
and the gardens are in full bloom.
another balloon man.
we loaded up and headed back to our house for a quick
change into bathing suits.
next stop, eldorado springs swimming pool
two minutes down the road, is our favorite swimming hole.
this vintage spot is a secret we locals try to keep to ourselves.
the pool water is fed from the eldorado springs and the location is world class!
a hundred years ago, eldorado springs was a resort location for denver residents.
the history is fascinating.
what a fun day! we loved having you guys here!
