summer evenings

gabi and bff sidney went to the movies today.

they are loving summer vacation!

let's see what is happening at home

well, rick is hanging the gates to the patio today........

and our first berry bright strawberries are ready to pick......

gabi was the first to spy them so i guess she gets to be the first to eat them.

and our rows of veggie seeds are sprouting.

and out on the deck this afternoon we hosted another party!

paul was away in breckenridge all weekend with fellow grain brokers from the company.

they flew in from all over the world.......spain, argentina, australia, china...

we hosted the finale barbeque. 

 it was a beautiful, summer evening to relax and chat.

on the menu:

grilled salmon with mango salsa

pork steaks with melted cheese and chipotle sauce

asian cole slaw

ceasar salad

fruit platter

onion & mushroom relish

artisian breads

vanilla ice cream & fresh strawberries

after everyone left, the whole family relaxed in the hot tub.

paul recently bought these fire engine red lanterns and hung them in the trees.

it reminds me of camping.
