happy july fourth!!!!
our beloved and battered yet dignified matron turns 235 years old today.
it is a long weekend so we decided to head up to the mountains to play for a couple of days.
we stayed at my sister's condo in silverthorne, co just outside of breckenridge.
thanks alisa and jerry - we had a blast!

it is quite refreshing to see them entertaining themselves without any electronics in their hands.
gabi invited her bff sidney to join us.
she is loads of fun!
biking......
the first morning, we rode 20 miles around lake dillon!
a mere sprint for paul.
it is breathtaking up here - the air is so crisp and clear.

i'd say we all earned a good ol' all american sub sandwich after our ride.
fishing......
later in the afternoon, we decided to all go fishing.

while we were fishing, a beaver swam across the pond.

paul, margo and roxy took off early one morning for a hike
and to try out our new camera, Nikon D-7000.

ReplyDeleteIt looked so cool compared to the 100 degrees
here in Provo. We saw the usual Fireworks at the Stadium, from our carport and hosted the finish
for the Freedom Run from our porch early on a cooler morning. No Parade for us - too hot.
Tess and family leave this evening at 6p.m.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful times with us. The woods were gorgeous.
