swiss friends

our dear friends
the o'niells
have been visiting us this week
from geneva, switzerland
our families adore being with each other.
we have taken turns visiting each other across the pond over the last few years.

paul, faith, finn, jack, maeve and kita

paul and my paul are both in the grain industry and met through work.
faith is a lawyer and works for the i.l.o. - a branch of the united nations in geneva.

too cute kita after a thrilling day at

the o'neills spoil us with gifts each visit.
this year it was monster toblerone bars for everyone
and many other swiss delights.

i received a dream box of truffles!
thank you, thank you

just have a look because i am not sharing

kita, maeve and jack are huge fans of

and joined in a jam session singing the lyrics to every song!

maeve loved meeting caleb......

kita, the littlest of the groupies.

btw,
davy rocket is close to releasing a couple more songs.

we spent a very full week playing very hard...........

boating, camping, water world, more boating, touring and eating beautiful things
like this delicious cheese and tomato tart made by margo.

over the weekend,
we brought the boat up to loveland, co to go tubing and wakeboarding on

ben, sab and their friend emma joined us too.

jack and gabi are great friends and keep in touch through the year
between visits.

what a fun day!
see you at home, guys.

we all decided to go camping up the canyon on monday night.

unveiling paul's new outdoor toy.......

the ultimate in off-road camping adventure!!
and i have to admit it is pretty cool

take a look at the convenient and fully equipped kitchen.
i mean this camper has everything!

we taught the o'neills how to make good old american s'mores around the campfire
and at breakfast they taught us how to make a good old english camper's sarnie.

it was so wonderful to be with all of you again.
i think it is our turn to visit you next time!
