one full year of blogging.
yes, it's true. and to be honest, i have developed a like/dislike relationship with it. not strong enough to call it love/hate but it did grow into something bigger in my life than i could have ever predicted.
from the start, i was determined to post every other day and often being one to overly and unrealistically obligate myself to my goals, there were days through the year that i was fighting
hell and high water to post.
on the other hand, there were times i was just too anxious to wait even one more day to post,
feeling near to bursting in a rush of need to share photos, thoughts and experiences.
so, there it is.......and off we go......beginning year number two,
here in the house that grandpa built.
to celebrate this milestone, let's go on an autumnal, morning walk together
enjoying a good chat and this colorful season of change.
first, saying good-bye to gabi.......
"have a nice ride to school"
no bus today, it can pass right on by. it is
gabi rode with her neighborhood friend grace and her dad, bob. thanks, bob!
these crabapples are ripe and ready and unfortunately, our neighbor's.
because i would love to make crabapple jelly. it reminds me of my childhood.
i think this time of transition into the myriad of fall colors is my favorite of the season..
still wanting to remember the green of summer but feeling the cooling, calming calling of autumn.
like peach, apricot, summer squash, rosy red and apple green......
although, i do love the bold and committed color of this tree's fall dress.
and this one too.
mmmmmmmmm, gorgeous.
this tree is getting more color-confident.
i hear the rumble of the train up eldo mountain above this log cabin's roof.
i love trains. they remind me of my grandpa. he worked on the railroad his entire life.
just look at this vine in it's collection of glorious color.
don't you love it?
deep crimson and golden candle trees brighten the lane.
in our field, the sumac is a patchwork quilt of color!
deep red leaves and vibrant blue berries in our hedgerow.
what is your favorite color? purpley blues are mine.
i just can't get enough of this glorious time of year.
thanks for the chat.
gabi got a new "your sketch" app on her phone.
pretty fun!
Happy Birthday! I have loved following your posts!
