olde town arvada

nicole and max have arrived in europe.
they are spending this week in london with nicole's cousin, emma.

tomorrow is fairview's second state football play-off game!!
they are playing the number one seed in the state, columbine high school.
to support all the players, the cheerleaders made signs and delivered them to all the team player's homes!!

go knights!

meyer lemon tree
my wonderful sister gave me this very thoughtful gift for my birthday.
it is a meyer lemon tree.  at the moment it is growing seven little meyer lemons and
is in bloom and the blossoms smell so sweet.
it reminds me of driving through california citrus groves!

i spent the afternoon with my dear high school friend, liz.
she lives in denver so we met half way in
old towne arvada.
a quaint little town made up of sweet shops like this old-fashioned candy store, antique markets, boutiques and the most gorgeous flower shop already dressed up for christmas.

we also came across a divine german bakery,
Rheinlander.

and couldn't resist bringing something home to our kids.
gabi loves anything with sprinkles......
