pinecones

i love prickly, pokey, piney pinecones.

they are gorgeous.

lately, i've been collecting new ones each morning on my walks with rox.

and have displayed them inside, outside and around the house.

it always feels good to me to have a bit of nature indoors.

what is happening with the kids today?

let's see.....

welp, sab is sporting some spankin' new glasses.

it is fairview's spirit week as well and ben is all dressed up for "country club" day.

the boys are off early, early.  sab is accompanying a sophomore choir piece

on his bass guitar and has rehearsals today.

the cast of the middle school play, groovy, is promoting their production

today during spirit week by wearing their custom designed t-shirts.

the black t-shirts came printed with a pure white design and the kids colored them

in with permanent marker so each one is different.

how groovy is that?

gabi's colorful collection of things spread out on the lockers.

today is college signing day.  

ben is so so close to signing with a school.

fairview holds a college signing day and asks the athlete recruits who have signed

or will sign with a school to hold a panel discussion for the 

up and coming athletes.  it is a grueling, long and tedious process and so all 

the help you can get from recruits that have been through the process is a great help.

emma is up there too.  

she is an extremely talented lacrosse player and has signed with duke!
