winter ballet concert

gabi had her winter dance concert this weekend.

afterwards, these beautiful, brave ballerinas were willing to have a photo session

outside in the snow.  they were absolutely gorgeous on stage as well.

the whole company performed a jazz piece opener.

we are still so cold here. we feel lucky when the temperature hits single digits.  um....crazy?

 this has been a veeeerrrry long cold snap.

fireplaces blaze, roads are still icy and poor abby has icicle whiskers.

paul has kept our wood stove burning 24 hours a day through

these cold days and dark nights. 

it feels good to know we have our plentiful oak firewood stash.

i gave paul a lot of grief about ordering even more wood this year 

(i think we have at least a 5 year supply)

but i get it.  i do get it.  thanks for taking care of us, baby.

i wrapped family gifts to send out today and listened

to our entire Christmas playlist.  i love it.
