what a lovely, warm autumn weekend we had here in colorado.
i'm guessing we may only have a handful of these left so
yesterday we decided to invite some of our favorite friends and families
over for a backyard barbecue savoring these gorgeous fall days.

boerewors and grilled onions
italian sausages
barbeque chicken
chilled shrimp
olive oil potato chips
asian cabbage salad
sliced tomato, cheese, basil platter drizzled with olive oil
garlic bread
rolls
homemade grape juice
(i'm pretty much over the whole grape thing)
zucchini bread and....
while we're at it let's add a
garden to table mini-post - supremely simple strawberry and rhubarb tart

wow, except for the relief of the last photo, this turned out to be a reeeeally green post!
