it was a gabi performance weekend and it was beautiful.

we started it all off by heading out to her first visit to a "for real" hair salon to have

these gorgeous locks shaped and layered.  what a fun time we had together.

  

friday night was her voice recital.  all of the voice students sang Christmas songs both traditional and some i had never heard before.  gabi sang a delicate rendition of silent night sparkled with perfectly placed riffs.  each solo performance was absolutely charming as through the years these young performers have gained both confidence and a sense of personal style.  i have to put it down as an extra special recital of recitals.  time for some home videos!

after the voice recital, we headed straight to the holiday dance concert dress rehearsal for the final performance on saturday.  it's the only opportunity proud parents had for taking photos/videos.  their ballet instructor is on stage making last minute adjustments.

the four ballerinas performed the arabian dance from the nutcracker.
