necklaces and a neckscarf

i have a couple of projects i've been working on that i would like to share with you.  the first are necklaces.  i love them, they're boho chic and all that......i pinned this photo ages ago and have been searching for those necklaces ever since.  with no luck, i was finally convinced that they were handmade and kept.  

soooo, i thought, i can do that too and got to work.

raising three girls, together we've collected quite a range of beads, some loaded with memories and history.   as i was sorting through and choosing the perfect beads, it was fun reminiscing nicole, margo and gabi!  i did have to order the little wooden beads.

the next is a knitting project, a neck scarf .  i've never really knitted or known how to knit.  except for the christmas nicole gave me the materials and sat patiently by my side giving me knitting lessons.  in fact, all of my girls know how to knit.  i finished that project but definitely needed a refresher course and chose this one from bleubirdblog (scroll to the bottom to start) it was easy and fun!

knitting was on my eager "to learn" list last year.  but after a number of attempts throughout the year, knitting row after row then pulling out row after row, i had to accept that my brain just wasn't up to this sort of challenge yet.  i needed to be patient and give myself more recovery time.

so this year, i tried again and i did it.  yay!

now i'm looking for and ready to take on another knitting project.  any suggestions?
