Margo's Grandportraits

i'm finding margo's photography breathtaking.

she recently took portraits of her grandmother and grandfather, mervyl and gerry.
she has subtly and beautifully captured the essence and energy of both these strong characters.

in the background of her graceful, gracious grandmother, the old, mahogany, family sideboard, shipped from south africa when they emigrated to the u.s., timelessly displays mervyl's passions, talents and heartstrings......on the shelves and in its reflection echo family, friends, literature, tea, art, serving dishes, travel trinkets, arranged garden flowers marking her gentle yet powerfully influential passage of time.

handsome grandpa gerry caught with pen in hand at his drafting table, he still insists on hand drawing all of his architectural plans and working, working, working, flashing his cheeky smile and talking about money....margo, i get some of the royalties from these photos....... the essence of gerry is captured.

beautifully done, margo.

remember margo's recent photo shoot for a jewelry company?
well, giles & brother selected one of her photos for their website home page.

again, go margo!

  1. Margo, will you do a portrait for me? I love these. They are so intimate.
