plantings

over the weekend, i spent many a peaceful hour in this little corner of the garden.
after weeding and raking, i added wow and wonderful worm casings, the richest natural fertilizer known to man, into the soil of our raised beds.

next, in went zucchini, tomato, eggplants, pepper plants and pumpkins of all sorts as well as sunflower and morning glory seeds planted in a rectangle for a sunflower house

on to the next bed....in went rows of carrots, peas, lettuce, spinach and finally i planted pole beans, climbing snap peas and more morning glories into the three half wine barrels, each with a new iron trellis that i was given for mother's day! i won't be able to help but keep you updated over the summer. what did you plant this year?

paul and i are heading to europe for a couple of weeks so i will take a break and then would love to share our adventures with you on our return. bon voyage...
