today, we spent our first afternoon out on boulder reservoir and it felt great.
the first day on the boat always makes us feel that it is officially and satisfyingly summer!
we are loving having sebastian home for the rest of the summer
and he's doing great things......
at b.y.u., sab has chosen to focus his studies
as a communications/journalism major. this summer, he has been given a very
hands on opportunity working as an intern for KGNU radio station here in boulder.
he regularly hosts the morning magazine show and is the writer and voice for the transitions between the BBC news hour and other scheduled programs. he is also given assignments to attend courtrooms, local events and functions to gather information, conduct interviews and write reports for broadcast.
he recently attended, along with local government figures, RTD officials and other media, the ribbon cutting of denver's RTD public unveiling of the flatiron flyer buses. these new buses will be put into service for the US highway 36 rapid transit system between denver and boulder.
while he was there, sebastian organized a one-on-one interview with colorado congressman
jared polis on the subject. go sab!
here is sebastian's recent morning magazine report on the subject....
last night, sebastian attended a meeting and interviewed members of the cuba friendshipment caravan, a group which delivers humanitarian aid to cuba. he then wrote up the report which he hosted and aired this morning....
morning magazine - cuba
(sebastian starts the local headlines 5min 50sec into the broadcast and
the cuba friendship report story begins 22min 30sec into the broadcast)
so proud of you sebastian. this is the real thing!!
have a fun fourth of july weekend!
