recently, i got together with some friends from church for a strawberry regale.
historically, a strawberry regale is a very victorian thing to do, gathering together on a warm summer evening to celebrate all things............strawberry.
during the 1800's, these were eagerly anticipated outdoor socials, usually sponsored by churches or schools as fund-raising events.
we just thought it was a good idea to gather friends in a flowery backyard to catch up and eat fresh strawberries in every size, shape and form possible.
the menu included: strawberry bruschetta
strawberry lemonade
strawberry spearmint infused spring water
strawberry spinach salad
strawberry dip
definitely a good idea!!
