it all started early this morning, about 5:00 a.m....(with an ok from the neighbors)
a hard working, hefty crew arrived to pour our concrete driveway.
i know this post is anything but interesting for you, dear readers, but over here we are ecstatic!
i mean, paul jumped out of bed to join in at the first sound of tumbling cement and gabi is
polishing up her rollerblades.
a few weeks ago, these great guys built two bridges for the driveway and a diversion ditch which now funnels the constant water flow under the driveway instead of over the driveway. this wearying wet has been a part of our goings in and goings out to the house since the september 2013 flood.
today, they have completed the job by turning our road base driveway into a dry,
concrete welcome mat. thank you, thank you. hoooooray!!
