while we were in utah last weekend, we spent a content, relaxing saturday each doing our thing.
i had a lovely afternoon visit and chat with my mom, gabi and margo enjoyed sister time together and the boys (paul, ben, sab, grandpa gerry, andrew, oh and kensey too) rented a pontoon boat and after an unfortunate flat tire episode on the way up, spent the rest of the blue sky day and sunset evening fishing together on strawberry reservoir.

a beautiful day all 'round!
back home, last night we attended fairview high school's annual extravaganza.
it is a full 3 hour evening of fine art performances: choirs, orchestras, jazz bands, marching band, student film clips, art on display and a teaser from the up and coming fall musical, guys and dolls.
the popularity of this evening has called for a change of venue from the high school gym
to a large event center in town which was very comfortable and housed the hundreds of fans
but unfortunately, was not photo kind. this shot singing with the sophomore choir, troubadors, was the one and only of gabi amongst her myriad of performances. what a night!!
