SVC and LA

gabi and i recently traveled to salt lake city, utah and after tucking into branbury cross donuts, attended a performance of SVC (space venture coalition) at the tower theater. music/fun loving ben and sab have been a part of this interactive space rock opera musical for a number of years. think rocky horror picture showish but with robots, a space queen, exploding planets and music that is out of this world. margo and andrew were also involved in this SVC performance early last year. it was crazy fun especially when you are hanging out with sebastian's girlfriend maddie, kensey, margo and gabi! they dressed up as space ummm, groupies? enthusiastically welcoming the costumed audience to the show, handing out guidebooks/galactic passports, assigning roles and getting everyone set and settled onto the starship fermi before take off. ben's character is master chef and he plays drums and sings backup. sebastian, the senior junior space cadet, acts, sings backup and plays the keytar. what a fun night among the stars.

now our kids are altogether in los angeles, without us. but, paul and i love the photos and updates we are getting from each of them. it was a last minute idea of ben and kensey's as they have the desire to spend precious time with family before moving overseas. ben, kensey and gabi drove from boulder to provo, picked up margo, sebastian and maddie and then headed on to l.a. to meet up with nicole. the added bonus was the surprise arrival from houston - andrew! i am so glad each of you made such a concerted effort to bring this idea together. unforgettable! enjoy!!
