ok, these are the last of our l.a. trip photos, i promise. we spent a day with sab and gabi at six flags, magic mountain, the teenager's disneyland! rollercoaster heaven it is! it was nearing the end of the day in the photo above and i am looking pretty worse for wear or actually maybe a bit crazy . I mean rollercoaster after rollercoaster, world's largest loops, head spinning, stomach lurching, 400 foot drops going 85 mph - i think i was definitely losing it by this point! But I have to admit, it was fun!!!
paul has a childhood buddy from south africa, now living in l.a. that he hadn't seen for 35 years! so we caught up with colin and his family in santa monica for a bagel breakfast. what a reunion. paul and colin just adored being together again and reminiscing of the old days, the rugby playing days, rondebosch boys, cape town. colin and his wife bev (the designer) have tween clothing stores around l.a. and in dallas called un deux trois. they invited gabi for a shopping experience she will never forget, graciously giving her the royal "pretty woman" treatment with personal stylists at her fingertips. thank you colin and bev! gabi's l.a. wedding reception and back to school outfits were stylin'!
frangipani - these always will remind me of australia.
in-n-out burgers - oh yea!
california has the best (as in indulgent) fast food, hands down!
thanks friends and family for such a fun filled, food filled fantastic time in the city of angels. love to all.
