with paul still recovering from his ruptured achilles tendon/surgery, he is very limited in what he can do as he follows dr.'s strict instructions to put no, absolutely no weight on his left leg for eight weeks.
four weeks to go!
but he can still drive! so driving has been our past time the last two weekends.
luckily, we live in one of the most beautiful, mountainous environments with continuous breathtaking scenery heading north or south along the rocky mountain front range. it has also been a beautiful, cold but beautiful, spring with snowy mountain peaks, lush evergreens and fresh, grassy-green prairie, ranch and farmland. colorado at its best.
the first weekend, we headed south towards colorado springs to pike national forest, driving the rampart ridge road. beautiful.
last weekend, we headed north to ft. collins taking the back roads.
maybe next weekend, we'll head west and up to the snow.

So much snow still?
ReplyDeleteOnly in the mountains. We are in the 80°F temps. this week so the snowmelt should be heavy. Our stream will be full to the brim with the runoff. So nice to see Daniel with Laura and fam!
