our holidays ended very sadly this year. margo and andrew's little pup helga passed away. margo, andrew, nigel and helga were still here in boulder with us enjoying the last few days of vacation together when helga began to move and act very strangely. after a midnight visit to the emergency vet, margo and andrew were told to rush helga up to the CSU veterinary hospital in ft. collins. opting for emergency spinal surgery, margo and andrew hoped she was on her way to recovery. a few days after surgery she was brought back to our house. we all did our best to nurse helga back to health but very sadly, a week later she was gone. helga died of conditions related to an unfortunate yet prominant health issue common to frenchies, IVDD intervertebral disc disease.
it was a tough, sad time saying goodbye to this tight, little bundle of happy energy but we have many joyful memories sharing a fun but short three years with her.......
we miss you, helga.
And I miss you Helga. She was loved so much and that is everything.
