we spent the long weekend in utah. gabi was wanting some sister time with margo and some cousin time with jenny so off we went. as we were driving from colorado to utah, sebastian was driving from utah to california to meet up with nicole, ben and kensey. it was a complete family weekend of sorts.
it was my mom's birthday weekend so we were also there to celebrate with her. grandmother, daughter and granddaughters out for japanese food together, the best! paul, mervyl and my brother brian were partying with us too! happy birthday, mom.
paul and i spent sunday morning on temple square in salt lake city for a production of music and the spoken word, the world's longest continuing radio network broadcast. this president's day session was entitled, the very soul of america and featured the mormon tabernacle choir, orchestra at temple square and bells on temple square performing: the star-spangled banner, this land is your land, shenandoah, the washington post march, the stars and stripes forever, god bless america and america the beautiful. it was magnificent and a beautiful tribute to this patriotic weekend.
later that day, mervyl and paul created a traditional meyer sunday lunch for the family. not only a delicious meal but also a treasured opportunity to sit, chat, feast, catch up and spend time with family we miss.
meanwhile in los angeles...........
sebastian made it to ben and kensey's house so brothers could catch up on some bro time,
and then later meet up with nicole for dinner! happy, family weekend for everyone.
Happy Birthday Karen... X
