paul's competent hands making breakfast paninis for his spoiled, vegging children on a comfy, slow weekend morning.

one of paul's very favorite things to do is to cook for people, especially hungry kids and teenagers.  and this morning he is breaking all the rules:

(he likes to do that too)

1. only eat in the kitchen or dining room.....

2. parents are NOT waiters...........

3. no greasy hands on computers..........

when i saw what was going on, i just had to.....

i was heading over to my friend jill's house anyway.......we have a big charity event coming up at our church and jill has lovely things to decorate tables with......so i was meeting with her to get ideas.......

while shopping or just browsing, do you ever hear something calling your name?  i do.  not often, but it certainly does happen....well, this little oil called me......it didn't just say, "janet", it actually called me by my middle name too.  "janet nicole," it said.  so, i guess it was meant to be mine.....

football is finally over.......

i am selfishly grateful that the fairview football season is finally over....... the team made it to the state quarter finals but lost that game.  it could not have been easy for my boy to stand there on the sidelines, not being able to play for his team these last 4 games.  

coach mac surprised ben the other day with this special gift for him.  it has most definitely been a season to remember.  well done, my dedicated, talented and very humble......star running back.
