birthday day

it is my brother greg's birthday today.  happy birthday, greg!!
greg lives in san diego.  he loves to cook (above), but his greatest passion is biking.

so in honor of you, greg, on your day (and taking advantage of 65 degree weather),
paul, gabrielle and i went on a bike ride along the south platte river in denver......
we wish you could have joined us!

we packed up our bikes and drove down to denver.......
and off we went.......
we passed fly fishermen (heartening to know fish live in downtown denver), gardens, bridges, ducks & geese
and then a car graveyard and stinky recycling center....

we eventually stopped for lunch at.......

fatburger.......

gabi's burger was called, babyfat......
i'm thinking we didn't ride far enough to earn these!!

what a great ride.
it is also martin luther king day, a federal holiday marking the birthday of
rev. dr. martin luther king, jr.
so no school and no work.  we chose a nice way to spend the day off......

the boys are spending their day off at a recording studio, putting the finishing touches on the
gullbeats debut album
to be released soon......you will be notified!!

ice skating party......

it is a day for birthdays......
gabi's friend rachel had an ice skating party this evening in old town louisville.
it is the most quaint old-fashioned feeling down there
and the ice rink fits right in.......

it was such a perfect night too...........40 degrees!!
we are all loving this warm day and the girls had a fantastic time.

happy birthday greg and rachel and dr. martin luther king, jr.

  2. I think it is working,
My question was, did you really ride bicycles all
    the way to Denver?
It seems such a long way on the freeway. I guess
you must have used by roads
what a good idea to make a page for Greg's b'day.
I am enjoying your blogs so much.
    Thank you,
